Unmiss vs Structured: which planner fits you?
Structured is built around a drag-and-drop timeline of your day. It imports calendars and can draft a schedule with AI. Unmiss is built around one list for today. You plan a to-do for a day without picking an hour, run routines one step at a time, and can keep the apps you pick shut while a focus block runs.
How they compare
| Topic | Unmiss | Structured |
|---|---|---|
| Main view | A list for today with its routines and to-dos, plus a Timeline that shows the free time between things | A drag-and-drop timelineS1 |
| A to-do with a day but no time | Yes. A deadline is a separate date | All-day tasksS2 and an inboxS3 |
| Subtasks | Yes. Finishing them never ticks the parent | Sub-tasks with notesS4 |
| Routines | Start one yourself or put it on a schedule with a heads-up. It walks you through one step at a time, with timed steps when you want them | Recurring tasks and routinesS5 |
| What didn't get done | "Planned earlier" brings each item back for you to place. An evening review moves what's left to a day | Replan: check off, delete, reschedule or send unfinished tasks to the inbox, with an optional morning or evening promptS6S7 |
| Focus | A block ends by its timer, quietly or with one notification. No break cycles | Started from a running task, with Pomodoro or longer intervals and breaksS8 |
| Keeping apps shut | Deep Focus keeps the apps you pick shut until the block ends | Its focus timer help article doesn't describe blocking appsS8 |
| Calendar import | No | Calendars and RemindersS9 |
| AI planning | No | Drafts your scheduleS10 |
| Someone else in the loop | A partner hears if a routine you shared isn't kept, never which step | No partner feature in its listingS12 |
Pick Unmiss if...
- Most of your to-dos need a day and nothing more.
- Your routines are a sequence of steps you want walked through, timed or not.
- During focus, you want the apps you pick to stay shut until the block ends.
- You want someone you trust to hear when a shared routine isn't kept.
What Unmiss doesn't do
Unmiss doesn't import your calendar or plan your day with AI. Focus has no Pomodoro-style break cycles, and a block ending never ticks off the to-do it was for. Nothing closes on its own either: a to-do stays open until you tick it.
Questions
Does Unmiss have a timeline like Structured?
Yes. The Timeline view shows your day with the free time between things, and the + drops a to-do, routine or focus block into a gap.
Do both bring back what I didn't finish?
Yes, in different ways. Structured's Replan lets you swipe through unfinished tasks and suggests today or tomorrowS7. In Unmiss, "Planned earlier" brings each item back with three choices: Today, Pick a day, or Back to list. The evening review asks "Ready to wrap up today?" and moves what's left to a day.
Does Unmiss block apps all the time?
No. With Deep Focus on, the apps you pick stay shut only while a focus block runs.
